Sep 21, 2008 (draft) White head atop clear pale straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, toast, apple, some grass. Taste is medium sweet, grass, some toast/bread, apple. Light-medium body.

Jun 14, 2009 Tap at the brewpub on 2/3/08: Transparent deep golden with a thin covering of wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet and doughy pale malts with a touch of earthy hops. Starts lightly sweet and slightly grainy with a good balance of bitterness toward a crisp, refreshing finish. A drinkable, yet quite flavorful golden.

Jul 11, 2009 on tap-pours a white head and yellow color. Aroma is grain, hops. Taste is sweet grain, continental/earthy hops.

Oct 22, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden color. Head was thin and white. There wasn’t any lace left behind. Aroma, such as it was, consisted of some grassy hops and a whiff of cereal grain. Flavor was similar with a light fruity note that reminded me of apricot. Mild hop bitterness came out at the end. On the watery end of the spectrum. Not very good.

Jan 3, 2005 On tap at the Jack of the Wood. 22 IBU’s of Kent hops. Straw golden in color. Almost honey-like in appearance. Light and refreshing. tastes like a good malt liquor. Has a chalky finish.

Dec 30, 2006 Mostly clear medium gold, lacy head. Musty, slightly sulphurous aroma. Cereal malt, light astringency, well-bittered. Lightly tart, not sweet. Lingering, slightly metallic hop finish with some doughiness and grass. Medium body.

Appearance: Clear, deep yellow body with a small white head.
Smell: Sweet-smelling cereal malt aroma with slight flowery hop notes.
Taste: Sweet cereal maltiness. Lightly floral with just a touch of spicy hop bitterness. Still manages to finish sweetish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Not bad at all for a golden.
