Sep 8, 2008 Picked up a growler of this when I was in Asheville. Pours a nice deep copper with little head. Malty aroma with a big hop presence. Lots of citrus and pine. Smooth malt driven taste with nicely balanced citrusy hops. Leaves just a hint of hop bitterness behind on the finish. I find this to be my session IPA when in Asheville.

Aug 24, 2008 Tap. I could tell by the second the bartender set the pint down, this is a man’s beer. Deep orange-red amber color, resiny,syrupy, tan film of a head. whoo-ha. Aroma of pine and honey. I am definately in Asheville,NC. Flavor is a rich and heavy malt character, slowly followed by the bold bitterness of citrus hops. Hints of chocolate. Wonderful and delicious. Finishes with a nice grapefruit. Super nice lacing. Other raters comment on a watery texture, not found. Full flavored, Medium bodied. Gold Medal!

Jul 7, 2008 There’s a nice citrus and pine hop flavor but the aroma is weak to the point that the flavor is a surprise. Needs more hop arome.

Jul 7, 2008 Pretty weak for an IPA. Slightly watery. Very plain flavor with not much to speak of. Light finish. Tasted especially watery with food. Had more of an amber or esb taste to it than an IPA.

Jan 29, 2008 Pungent piney nose, comes across very powerfully hoppy on the nose. Dissipates into the flavor, and kind of loses ground, where neither hops or malt have a balance. Very crisp, and creamy, but lacks balance throughout.

Nov 24, 2007 tap. small off-white (quickly dissapating) head into clear amber body. aromas of strong hops and moderate malts. flavor is moderately bitter with light sweetness throughout. something was different, maybe in the balance of hops/malts? good though.

Sep 30, 2007 Sampled at the Brewpub. Poured a golden amber color with a thin lacing head.Spicy hop aroma. Flavor was piney , crisp and blah.Hop bitter finish.

Sep 24, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy amber body with a thin, bubbly off-white head.
Smell: Aroma of earthy, herbaceous hops and vague hints of English toffee.
Taste: Mild toffee flavor and sweetness that quickly shifts to a moderately spicy hop taste that lasts into the gently lingering finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Very mild carbonation.
Drinkability: Cask and you shall receive!
