Pours a nice deep copper with little head. Malty aroma with a big hop presence. Lots of citrus and pine. Smooth malt driven taste with nicely balanced citrusy hops. Leaves just a hint of hop bitterness behind on the finish. I find this to be my session IPA when in Asheville. unclemattie (2430), Georgia, USA

Deep orange-red amber color, resiny, syrupy, tan film of a head. whoo-ha. Aroma of pine and honey. I am definately in Asheville,NC. Flavor is a rich and heavy malt character, slowly followed by the bold bitterness of citrus hops. Hints of chocolate. Wonderful and delicious. Finishes with a nice grapefruit. Super nice lacing. Other raters comment on a watery texture, not found. Full flavored, Medium bodied. Gold Medal! aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 7, 2008 Pretty weak for an IPA. Slightly watery. Very plain flavor with not much to speak of. Light finish. Tasted especially watery with food. Had more of an amber or esb taste to it than an IPA. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Pungent piney nose, comes across very powerfully hoppy on the nose. Dissipates into the flavor, and kind of loses ground, where neither hops or malt have a balance. Very crisp, and creamy, but lacks balance throughout. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
