Very fresh, pungent aroma - piney at first, with a touch of grapefruit. Pretty tasty, with notes of pine and resin. Fairly assertive finish, with a decent aftertaste. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Pours a hazy amber, with a small off white head. Very floral hop aroma, but also detectedsome dishsoap in there. Wasnt offensive, but it was there. The taste was very hoppy, caught me a little off guard actually. Pretty bitter finish, which was also short and weak. Nothing much else to say about it. Not bad, not great. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA

picking up more of a bitterness in addition to the sweet grapefruit character, last batch was a bit better,

the citrus character has taken a bit of a backseat to the sweet crystal malt, still the nice light bitter finish

still a bit too much bitterness in the finish but almost enough sweet caramel and crystal malt to balance it,

Appearance: clear orange, creamy beige head, lots of thick drippy lace,
Aroma: huge fresh sugary sweet grapefruit aroma like a breakfast sunrise,
Body: creamy body,
Flavor: sweet crystal malt flavor is perfectly balanced by the citrus hops, light balancing bitternes stays out of the way of the wonderful robust hop flavor, light bitter finish is a dim reminder of the past wonders,
Overall: john has this one dialed in perfectly

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Pours copper with whitish head. The aroma is sweet, muffin-like malt and piney hops. The flavor is piney hops with a bit of coarse bitterness. Lemonbread lies behind it, but is far outweighed by the hops. Bitter, slightly grassy finish and aftertaste. mnicole (15), asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Draught at Jack. Clear orange-amber with a lacing white head. Nice, strong hoppy aroma. Taste is medium-strong bitter and hoppy - helps the craving but a little simplistic. Medium-full body and a dryish, bitterish aftertaste.
