Dark brown pour with a creamy white head and lace. Light chocolate aroma. Flavor of roasted malt chocolate/cocoa. A tad thin and watery for my taste.

Pours a dark black with a one finger light tan head. The nose is sweet, mildly roasty, some chocolate, weak coffee in there, some caramel. Flavor is mildly sweet, some grain astringency, mild roast, grassy hops. Bit thin on the palate.

On tap at Jack of the Wood. Very mild aroma. Sweet dark chocolate with a bit of coffee and light hop character. Dark brown black clear with thin light tan lacing head. Medium light body with fizzy carbonation. Starts sweet with chocolate, lactose, and some caramel. Stays sweet but not cloying, finishes with a bit of smoke and mild nutty bitter. Decent sweet stout, easy drinking.

Black, dense brown head - looked like a nitro pour, in fact, but I don’t remember seeing a nitro tap. Nice but faint aroma of coffee. Lots of flavor, thought - coffee, of course, and burnt toast. Dryish finish with some lingering bitterness. Pretty tasty.
