Pours a copper color with an off white head. Aroma is some crystal malts and nice juicy citrus hops. Flavor is hop forward with lots of citrus hops, some crystal malts, and a bitter citrus finish.

on tap-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is musty/herbal, medium malt. Taste is musty/herbal hops, medium malt-some caramel. Some detractor.

Tap at the brewpub on 2/3/08: Transparent dark golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale grainy malts and a piny English hop presence. Starts fairly full and lightly sweet with an earthy soapy bittering hoppy character before a crisp, dry bittersweet finish. A decent, pretty drinkable APA.

On tap at Jack of the Wood. Mild green apple aroma with light malty grain and little hops. Wee bit of caramel. Medium dark amber clear with thin lacing white head. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Starts with light carbonic acidity, fresh grassy hop bitterness and a bit of light caramel malt sweetness. A bit of apple. Finish is light bitter with smooth nutty after.

On draft at Jack of the Wood, Asheville. Poured slightly cloudy gold with white head. Extremely thin. Very subtle citrus profile. Easy drinking but not much to this one.

Served on draft at the brewpub as part of a sampler. Pours a slightly hazed copper color. Small head and decent head retention and lacing. Fairly simple aroma of earthy hops. Hops are predominant in the taste... earthy, leafy and slightly spice. Some caramel malts in there as well. Medium bodied.

Draft at the brewery. Near clear honey straw color with a thin ring of white head. Not very much in the way of aroma, but similar to the corniness of the gold ale, but this guy has a huge perfume bouquet of hop flavor. Leaves a cloying stickiness on the tongue. Not a huge fan of this one.
