SierraPaleAle (22), California, USA Oct 1, 2007 12 oz bottle like the last two posters from Corti Bros. Pours a light amber with a decent head that left some lacing. Aromas were sweet and possibly blueberry, but I wasn’t sure. Taste like hops and possibly blueberry, maybe too subtle for me. I’m not sure I’ll have to check this out again. DYCSoccer17 (2036), Davis, California, USA Sep 12, 2007 12 ounce bottle purchased from Corti Brothers in Sacramento, CA. Blueberry, eh? I don’t know. I smell some caramelly, grainy, malts in the nose with some lightly floral notes that can be considered blueberry if you think and try long and hard enough. Moderately hazy amber-red body with a small, wispy off-white head. Chewy, malty, grainy, husky flavors to start. A bit of raostiness in the middle. No signs of blueberry anywhere to be found. I do not think this is their blueberry beer at all. I think it is totally mislabelled. It’s not a bad little beer, but you can’t fuck up the labelling and expect me to give it a decent score. bhensonb (3004), Woodland, California, USA Sep 11, 2007 The website does not even mention this beer. 12 oz. bottle from Corti Brothers. Hazy reddish amber color with a beige head that isn’t. The aroma is sort of roasted malt. Thin in body, near creamy in carbonation. The flavor is mostly roasted malt, a standard for the ales of this firm. The blueberry is rather submerged in the malt. The finish is somewhat astringent, unsweet roast malt, and arguably some berry skin bitter. Overall, it is more of an ESB than a fruit beer. Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 11, 2006 Golden ale with thin white head. Chemical extract of blueberry aroma. This is the pale ale with extract, with barely any fruit in mouth. On tap at brewery, August 2005.
