| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Pint served at Bodega. Pours black with a very small off-white head that doesn’t stick around long. Aroma shows mild smokiness with more chocolate cocoa porter like qualites. I guessed this was peat but it appears I am wrong. This is remarkably similar to Stone Smoked Porter in its aroma. Flavor is chocolatey with mild roast and a touch of phenolic smokiness. Body is relatively light as these things go and the smoke is subtle. Slightly watery. Very drinkable. Thought this was tasty but could use a bit more smoke and body in my opinion. Smoked malt, peat, chocolate notes with a liquid smoke character. A chewy caramel body with the right amount of smoke. Its like drinking the aroma of a fire pit, Awesome. goffenhiemer (4), Plain City, Ohio, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 19, 2009 If you like Stone Smoked porter you’ll love this smoked porter.
