May 28, 2007 Easily one of the best porters I’ve tried. Extremly rich aromas and flavors. Roasted and burnt malt aromas, also some coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy. Goes down very smooth and does not have that acidic bite that many porters have. Superb.

Jul 20, 2006 On tap @ Jacks poured a clear dark brownish black with a small diminishing tan head. Aromas of coffee, roasted malt, light smoke and bitter chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, coffee and light smoke with a smooth lingering roasty finish.

Nov 25, 2002 Tap. Black color with a light brown head. Roasted malty flavors. Good body.

Sep 25, 2002 Black color, roasted malt aroma. Roasted malts, some hop bite, still not very hoppy. Mouthfeel kind of thin and watery for a porter. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty.
