Rune (1809), Tromsø, Norway Oct 1, 2008 100ml served far too cold at the Jacobsen/Carlsberg bar, EBF. Clear amber. Missing head. Sweet dark fruits to the nose. Some hints of spruce and pine in flavour, which feels a bit detained. Rounded mouthfeel. Not that exciting (12.09.2008). Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England Sep 24, 2008 Bottled at EBF 2008, Copenhagen. Clear coppery amber with little to no head. Light, slight corny aroma. The pine element is evident in the flavour. Smooth with a dry-ish finish. OK stuff. larsga (2313), Oslo, Norway Sep 22, 2008 Medium offwhite head. Slightly hazy amber body. Yeasty malty aroma with citric fruity notes and some grain. Dry-sweet malty citric hop taste with grainy notes. Dry citric aftertaste. Decent. Rated this blind, that is, without knowing what it was. (0.1l taster from bottle at EBF ’08.) Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 17, 2008 Bottled. A pale amber beer with a nice tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, pine, dusty hops, citrus, and a light touch of elderflower and other spices, leading to a dry finish where both the caramel and the pine note carries thru. The body is a bit thin. plovmand (676), Helsinge, Denmark Sep 17, 2008 Bottle at EBF. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Malty aroma with some hops. Medium to weak mouthfeel. Flavour is mainly caramel with some fruity notes. Not good nor bad.
