Clear copper color with a small off white head. Grain and dark bread in the aroma along with some light toasted notes. Light caramel sweetness and a light roasted bitterness. The bread is even more noticeable in the moutharoma. JulienHuxley (214), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 21, 2009 Bottle. Chestnut? OK. The aroma is nice fruity but has a little something pointy to it too much brown sugar. The taste is watery more brown sugar and a bad aftertaste something astringent. Won’t buy again but a good try. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Nice looking bottle. I’d not been aware of this brand until stumbling across it in my local BCLDB store. Poured a smallish tan head to cap an attractive clear and dark copper body. Aroma was indistinct, but quite alright. Taste was pleasant, with some malts, and the mouth was comfortable. Nice beer; I could drink more of these.
