Hazy amber color with a thick head of tan foam. Nose is yeasty and hoppy in a nice and reflreshing way. Creamy and somewhat dry. flavor is a little like vegetables. perhaps not chilled optimally. somewhat sour like last reviewer found.

Aug 24, 2008 (Denmark) Pours a med-brown color with zero head. The aroma is of walnuts, caramel, and dark malts. Taste is much of the same but the walnut flavor really comes through. The mouthfeel is smooth and has little or no carbonation. Pretty drinkable dunkel !!!

Aug 23, 2008 Bottle shared by BeerGestapo. Thanks Mike. Pours murky brown with hints of red, zero head even after a rough pour. Smells of toffee, dough, caramel, and dark fruit. Taste exactly like it smells with a walnut finish. Good, not great, a tad too sweet. It seems like everyone rated this one low because it is from Carlsberg but it really isn’t bad.

Jul 28, 2008 0.75 l bottle from Joutsan Alko. Damn easy to drink light tasty and fresh. a little malty slight roastiness and a bit sweet. simple. I drank it all in 5 minutes. nice.

Jul 8, 2008 Bottle at CPH (Airport). Clear nutbrown - white head. Nutty, caramel, light metallic, berries, fruity, sweetness, light hoppy. Plain.

Jul 7, 2008 Poured a reddish-brown color with little head that dissipated rather rapidly. Aroma is not real strong, but has a somewhat sweet malty smell. Taste is also malty and sweet with hints of caramel and nuts. Little if any hop presence. Mouthfeel is okay, felt a bit on the thin side. Beer is okay, but not worth what I paid for it.
