acrdz (4388), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 26, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Clear strawberry blonde colored body with a small white head. Mild fruit nose, a nice raspberry/strawberry/genericberry smell, but unlike most beers which this artificial fruit aroma, this one actually smells somewhat nice... not entirely natural, but still nice, which I almost feel bad about admitting. Lacks any sort of glaring defect, but still not terribly interesting. Nice to have something different from the typically weak and artificial fruit beers. bu11zeye (3780), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 24, 2005 (Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a small pinkish-white head. Aroma of raspberry syrup. Flavor of watery raspberry and malt. arjoseph (557), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 6, 2004 Updated: Feb 18, 2005Weak. It’s neither a good wheat nor a good fruit beer. This seems to be on the menu for the womens, and my mom did like it, but for the discerning drinker (who, admittedly, has a prejudice against wheats to begin with and a skepticism concerning fruit-flavored wheats on top of that), not that great. The raspberry tinge is not overpowering...and that’s the only compliment I can give. It’s barely there. If this were a competent wheat beer, however, with adequate acidity and grainy, feathery texture, that might not be an issue, but it’s pretty flat and musty, much like a wheat interpretation of their IPA. No flavor, and cottony in the mouth. Bleh. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Oct 31, 2004 Reddish amber with a distinct berry aroma. When tasted, however, the berries slip into the background to provide a nice sweet edge to an otherwise solid malt basis. Well done. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Mar 5, 2004 This is an extract brew from this strip-plaza Indian restaurant. The taste is up-front with little bittering hops. Crisp wheat beer with a pallatable raspberry flavoring. Lacks the biting aftertaste of some raspberry ales. Nice.
