First of all, this is the most unique brewpub I’ve ever found ... with awesome authentic Indian food. This seasonal is a caramel, creamy beer with a sharp burnt-sugar malt finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber nearly brown color. Medium head that does not have great staying power. Mild aroma of toasted malt, but I’m guessing that most of the color comes from a few handfulls of black patent malt. The body is lighter than I enjoy in a Scottish ale. However, the strongly evident presence of gypsum suggests that if an Indian brewery tried to make a Scottish ale, they’d most likely heap gypsum into it just so it would resemble an IPA. And that’s about what we’ve got here. A good beer, but not a great beer.
