Hmmm... my bottle says that it is brewed by Gluek. Not quite the lustre of a microbrew that this projects. The aroma has a bit of apple, but also a lot of butterscotch--hmm...is this a brewing flaw, or just a nice caramel touch? It tastes o.k. to me, since I like butterscotch, so it’s not a problem. Big butterscotch flavor as well, with a faint smokiness. Golden color, some clinging head, adequate palate (moderately soft, moderately frothy). Curious aftertaste in the second half of the bottle, as it warms a bit. Not bad, not great.

This James Page offering is unique in having wild rice in the brewing process. It really helps to create different and interesting flavors. Grainy and refreshing. Has different flavors indeed. Nice mild hop finish. Rich, full mouthfeel. This is an interesting lager and worth trying.

slow rising, but bountiful bubbles. glossy, soft white top graces a golden body. soft, light, creamy and tasty. thin and dry with a vegetabley emergence.

Sweet, nutty aroma. Doesn't quite seem like malt, maybe it's the wild rice. Golden color, medium carbonation and white head. The wild rice taste is prominant, they should make a larger notification of it on the label. Nutty maltiness. Faint hops. Not quite as pleasing and drinkable as I would have expected. I wanted to like this beer more than I did. ALways trying to root for local brews. Their Burly Brown is much better.

Clear, golden color, tall, thick off-white head. Aroma, fresh, sweet, vanilla notes, banana, even, unusual, to say the least, like a 'nana/'nilla wafer. Taste: very light, watery body, little in the finish, small hop content, malt is a whisper as well. Very minor, with yeasty-breadiness felt on the palate. Easy to drink, yea, but the adjuncts are too prominent in the flavor and the taste is just too unremarkable. Will be going out of my way to avoid this..."idyllic to the taste"? Whose taste? Not mine, folks, and probably not yours...

Dark golden with a monster head. Cherry-vinegar aroma followed with a malt-alcohol flavor and a cheddar cheese bitterness. Didn't care for this one.

melikes. corny like m'lady's mom's jokes. sweet like me upper lip, and a bit bitter with a dry mouthfeel. this ain't so shabby. the beer is sexy-- it just has that james page stigma attached to it. i'll buy it again for anther taste. it's more of a swiggin' beer than a sippin' beer, nonetheless.

Mild aroma of corn. good appearance, gold with a sizeable head. Flavor of corn and hops. Good palate. Corn is the dominant feature of this better than average lager/pils.
