| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 10, 2007 Pour is a copper with a brown head. Aroma is decent enough with a balance of hops and malts with the hops coming out semi-strong. Flavor is some brown sugar and caramel malts with the hops again showing up in the flavor. Can’t give this one to bad a score as it almost tastes how a pale ale should. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 23, 2007 From a 12 oz. twist-off bottle with a short blurb on the front label, no freshness date, sampled at cellar temperature in a pint glass.
Poured a clear reddish copper with a large foamy, bubbly off-white head, decent retention, small amount of sticking.
Light, faint aromas of soap, floral with a subtle lemon citrus, and toasted grains.
Moderate carbonation and a softly crisp, dryish, thin medium-light bodied mouthfeel, the low carbonation gave this a more watery than creamy feel.
Thin sweet malty taste, toasted grains and sugary, watery caramel, soft hops, sour citrus with an earthy bitterness towards the end, and a dryish, sour citrus, a touch metallic, grainy finish.
I wasn’t too impressed with this APA, with all the pale ales being made these days, I see no reason to ever return to this.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 23, 2007 light off yellow color w/ a soapy head and some lacing. Lightly sweet aroma with hints of grass and grapefruit, touches of grahm cracker. Fairly thin but coats well. Flavor is pretty bland, very grassy but in a weak way some definate grahm and cardboard to fill out the body and a hint of carmel. Not to good. vyvvy (2044), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 18, 2007 Oh, the pain that is becoming James Page. Only one of the three left now. Pours clear bronze with an overly bubbly tan head. The aroma has caramel malt with buttery diacetyl and light hops. Medium / light body with some wateriness and overly sharp carbonation. The taste starts metallic and sharp with some toasted malt and some diacetyl. The finish has some spicy hops and more tin. Thumbs down hard for this embarrassing example of an APA. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 7, 2007 color is brown, darker than virtually any other pale ale I can remember. head is egg shell white. aroma is dominated by earthy hops and caramel malt. flavor is very earthy and grainy as well. Hops are pretty much an after thought in this beer. TerryR (383), Oswego, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2007 Amber with a fairly short lived head. Pine and citrus nose. Decent malty middle with a nice bitter finish. Underated, especially for the price. BeerBelcher (943), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2007 I thought this was a decent pale ale, and a good value ($0.99 a bottle at Murray’s). Still, in a world crowded with APAs, I can think of others I’d prefer.
Color is a copper red amber (darker than I expected) with lots of white head. Appearance is the highlight of this beer. Smell was fairly pleasant and lightly hoppy. Taste was a bit thin, but had some good hop bite to it. Mouthfeel a bit watery, but not bad. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2007 Bottled at the Point Brewery. Strong hoppy flavor, good blend of hops and malts on nose. An enjoyable Pale.
