The color was a medium dark amber. With a mild amount of head that left a lacing on the sides. The aroma was fantastic.Malty sweet, with some hops thrown in definate spiciness to this brew, with some hints of tangerine in the nose. The taste was malty sweet, hoppy with the same spicy tangerine taste well balanced to give you a bit of everything but not all at onceThe alcohol is very, very well hidden,no alcohol presence at all, just a medely of flavor's all bound in a nice neat package. The after taste is sweet almost honey like with a hop taste that is faint because the fruitiness comes through to nock it out and leave you with a just had a lambic feel, well probably not that drastic but it definately is fruity in the after taste, with the hops showing up in every "BURP" gross as it sound's it's really not. This beer has a clean almost dry finish that one minute it's there and "poof" it's gone.leaving you with a,I want more feeling. To bad this is probably the first and last time this will be brewed luckily i have the last 2 cases on the planet.eat your heart out guys this brew has it all flavor well balanced it's all there and i have it all.muhahahahahaha Re-rate this stuff just gets better every time i have one i just can't leave it hangin without giving it a perfect score it's just to good a brew.

Mahogany with a short lasting head. Fruity and malty aroma. Interesting complex taste. Flavour seems to have oranges, woodiness and even a little chocolate in addition to the obvious malt. Not much bitterness and is a little thin. Slikwily is responsible for my previous three raves.

Bottle. Very complex, can't pull out all the flavors. Malt is obvious, but there seem to be oranges, and other fruits in it as well. A slight wood taste as well. I think I found some hints of the typical cinnamon and spice of winter brews. Medium body. Very nice offering from James Page.

List this as a pale ale or an IPA and it would due well. Amber colored, small head. Aroma of hops and carmel. Mouthfeel is typical for a pale ale, medium bodied, and slightly oily. Finish is somewhat dry. I would have never guessed it was 8%, alcohol well hidden. Thanks Slikwily!

What's in a name? Winter Warmer, eh? Well, perhaps. For me, it lacked the real depth of malts--true enough, it has a pleasing dark appearance and wonderful feel in the mouth. It was quite surprising to find out (halfway through the beer) that this was 8% abv, so well-hidden was the alcohol. I didn't get fruitiness here, more caramel with a very strong bounce of hops. Hops in the aroma, hops in the flavor--too much for me to think of the fruity parallels. Thus, it leads me to say that calling this a "winter warmer" had an effect on my expectations. Once I had dismissed that name from my head, I found a very nice, dark American pale ale. Knowing the abv is the only thing that makes me think they were up to something more adventurous. Very good beer!

Glowing amber. Medium head, with decent retention. Aromas of winter spice,english/german malts, and just lightly hoppy. Mouthfeel is soft and thick. Texture is silky, near watery. Really malty, slightly spicy flavors. Malts are earthy and fruity. Finish is malty and crisp with hops(Cascades I belive??). Pretty good!

Amber Coloring. Malt. Woody. Fruity. Spice. Not a strong showing but a decent beer to try.

Aroma is fruity. Taste was fruity (apricot?) malt with some hops - I didn't find it particularly hoppy. Thin for an 8% beer, but it had enough body for me. I wouldn't have guessed it was 8%. Good drinking, but a bit plain. Thanks to slikwily.
