2008 MBG Winter Fest: Hazy brown with a lasting small head. The aroma has some of the things you would expect from the genre and one thing you would not. I found banana, bubblegum, clove, wheat. roasty malt, and walnut esters. I too found an unwelcoming pickle (vinegar) vapours as well. The tastes starts twangy and fruity with sweet bread background but sadly that same flaw of vinegar and sourness detracts from the beer. The mouth feel is light and lively. This is a complete miss and I suspect the beer has gone bad. Would like to re-rate if every given the chance. For now, the worst brew at the fest.

Draft at brew pub. This brewery is at the very least good on style. Strong dark wheat beer with above average aroma, flavor, appearance and a solid malt finish with a small bite of alcohol. Good job to brewer Tom.

A really intiguing appearance on this one - huge clouds of sediment cheerfully dancing in the darkness. Reminds me of a small lake on a summer day, myself bobber-fishing for bluegill and watching the sunlight squirm its way into the brown depths. Anyway, the taste features subdued yeasts and esters, nothing strong or bold, but enough spice and citrus to remind you that wheat is involved. It’s great when your local brewpub has an adventuresome spirt!
