Jeppe (2637), Ølbutikken, Denmark Jan 1, 2006 Sampled from draught at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2005.
My first beer of this years festival and what a start it was!! Dark brown with a small tan head. Dark roasted malt aroma along with chocolate and liquorice. Very full and nice with a good complexity. Sharp and biding flavor of roasted malt and liquorice with a tone of berries. A bit alcoholic, but the alcohol is well integrated. Bitter finish. A very tasty and interesting porter that I hope to see on bottle one day! larsniclas (3115), Gothenburg, Sweden Nov 8, 2005 Draught at Plain Kitchen, Gothenburg, Sweden.
Black with a brown head.
Roasted aroma with toffe. A bit sourish.
Soft and smooth palate.
Milky, salty and roasted flavour with some licorice. rickgordon (3088), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 22, 2005 On draught at Plain Kitchen, Göteborg.
Black, with a tint of red. Light brown head. Loads of toasty licorice in aroma and the familiar house yeast character. Chewy, fiery mouthfeel. Licoricy backbone with a sweetness, that’s perfectly balanced by a robust bitterness. Might as well be taken for an Imperial Stout. Great beer! hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden Oct 9, 2005 Pure black colour, decent beige head. Hoppy, yeasty roasted malt nose. Jämtlands house character. Flavour from chocolate and coffee. Somewhat fruity and caramelly finish.
