| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 21, 2005 Bottle. Brown with a firm lasting head. Extremely malty nose with a lot of british hops also. The taste is also very malty with lots of toffee and with the hops adding flowery notes and a lovely fresh bitterness. This is clearly a beer within the British Ale tradition but it seems as a mixture of Scottish maltiness and English hoppiness. Very good.
