Cask@Jasper Brewery Brewpub, Jasper. Dark amber beer with a smooth cream head. The aroma is gently hopped, and the flavour is hopped, smooth and roasted. Overall a nice smoothly hopped beer.

Mildly cloudy body with a thick creamy crown. Chocolate and hops dominate the aroma. Taste is mild creamy and smooth. Chocolate, bitter hops, watermelon and nuts all appear in the taste. Taste seems slightly watery but that’s ok because this is yummy. Massive walls of lacing are being left behind. a mild bitterness lingers after beer is finished. Yum yum yummy beer

Easily the best of the three beers that I tasted at the Jasper Brewing Company while out for milk. The beer was a medium amber colour with no carbonation and lots of light tan coloured head. Excellent retention and left a very dirty glass. For aroma, the first word written down is ’Yum!’. It has a slight nut smell with a good ammount of fruit and some yeast. The taste was sweet and fruity with solid malts and a noticable ammount of grapefruit hops. Came across well balanced. Light to medium bodied with near zero carbonation. Slight fruit and light malt aftertaste. Minimal bitterness. I don’t really care what style they were going for, all I know is that I really enjoyed it. An excellent brew that is my pint of choice whenever in Jasper.

Nitro, at brewpub. Dark gold and hazy. Dense, creamy head. Malty aroma, light nuts. Flavour is similar with some nutty malt, caramel, some lemony hop. Light body and light mouthfeel as expected from a nitro pour. A little hop aftertaste. Pretty drinkable.

The brewery site lists this as being an ESB, despite it being called a cream ale. In my notes, I had written that it was listed as a red ale, so reports are a little conflicting. Going with what the brewery site says until information otherwise is found. Very creamy right off the pour... takes a while to settle down, and allow the colour through. A crisp golden, slightly offwhite head - very creamy, as they’ll be on nitro. Head is aboujt a finger tall, and lasts forever - again, as per the nitro. Mild aroma... not much to pick out aside from the English malts. Perhaps a slightly herbal hop profile. A bit of a sweeter, English malt. A bit of a soft roastiness. Perhaps a little nondescript, but not too shabby. It could likely do without being served as a nitro. Medium bodied, enhanced with the added creaminess. Not a favourite of the night, and lacking as a "red" but alright for an ESB.

Draught at the brewpub, nitro
Hazy amber color, with the typical creamy head. Hence the aroma is hidden. It has a smooth mouthfeel of course, with some malt-caramel flavor and a bitterness above average. The hop is not bad. Drinkable.

Draft 6 oz at the brewpub; The head stood on this for 10 minutes before I go to it, then rode the sides of the glass allthe way down. Quite stiff. Orange-amber. Sweet malty aroma. Likewise with the flavor ... almost an orange aspect to it. Exceptional creamy body. Nice citric-acidic finish. (#2888, 5/15/2007)

On tap at Jasper Brewing Company. Poured a clear lighter amber with a well-retained cap of off-white head. Nose was of sweet hone and caramel malts... kind of airy... with citrus, pine, and some English floral bitterness behind it. Sweet and creamy caramel and English toffee malts upfront with bitter pine and citrus bitterness around the tongue and through the finish. Light-bodied with well-placed bitterness. Solid overall.
