Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with an average off-white head that slowly dissipates to a thin ring and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain and caramel malts, some grassy hops, a touch of marzipan and a touch of vegetable. Taste is medium bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt, some grassy hops, roasted nuts and a touch of green pepper. Finish is slightly metallic with a lingering golden grain/light caramel malt aftertaste. Very little bitterness in the finish. CharlesDarwin (1846), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA

Pours a plain orange-amber, hazed, with a silky white rim above. The flavor is a slur of grainy malts, metallic hops, and light off-yeast character. A bit of cardboard, toast and almonds hop in. Bland, thin and unexciting. A real boring beer, actually. Body is appropriate. Not well balanced, as the malt sticks on the tongue a little longer than I would like.
