Hoppy aroma on dark yellow. Chalky body and flavour undercurrent but strong hops as well and decent enough to want another pint. RichardGretton (3149), Leicestershire, England

Snuck off and drunk at the bar again. Got my very cold beer quickly and it was a very hazy orange amber colour with a thin white cap that stayed thin until my glass was empty giving out some spotty lacing along the way. I was greeted with a nice refreshing aroma of sweet candylike peaches, apricots and grapefruit, a strong floral impression (easily the best quality of the aroma) but there seems to be a soapy undertone. The taste is off. Lots of bitterness and more hop flavour than bitterness with some herb but then the strange soapy taste comes in and ruins everything. There is some fruit here but, once again the soap kills it. Comes across quite smooth and refreshing as do all the Jasper beers, nice carbonation and a good malt middle. It’s not too harsh on the bitterness but it does have good lingering length. Seems like a very acidic pop I guess. It’s ok but I’ll stick with the Liftline Cream Ale. pintbypint (1007), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Small creamy white head, clingy lace. Orangey hop aroma, hint of lemon zest, floral notes, some sweetness. Good up front citrus hops, grapefruit lemon and orange notes. Hoppy finish with some lingereing grapefruity hops. Soft bodied, light carbonation. Tasty. Proteus93 (66), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Slightly hazy (but more on the clean side) straw / gold coloured pour. Creamy white head retains well, approx. 1 finger tall.
Floral and subtle piney hops. Not coming across as a hopbomb, but pretty nice.
Similar to the aroma - flower petal and pine notes. A dash of citrus - grapefruit. Not explosive, but a noted hoppiness. A little earthy, coming out more on the finish. Finish lasts a while. Crisp carbonation, rather clean finish.
A tasty enough brew.. enjoyable enough that I’d happily have another. ABV of about 5.5 makes that possible - a good session candidate.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | May 18, 2007 Draft pint at the brewpub; Golden amber with a diminishing pocked head that laced well. Subtle Cascadey nose. This drinks very citrusy but leaning more toward lime flavors than the expected grapefruit. That’s a new one on me. Good and light, the wife like it more than I did.
