Bockyhorsey (1951), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 29, 2008 Sample @ Jaxons airway location. Good cirtus aroma. Copper body with off white head. Decent citrus flavor but the dry bittering hops dominate and will need a gulp of water after this one. Leaves the palate dry.
pinkzambia (868), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 20, 2007 Tap @ brewpub: Clear copper color. Sweet hoppy aroma aroma with quite a hop attack on the tongue. The hops combined with the higher alcohol % attacks the tongue leaving your tastebuds feeling like a worn out punching bag. Sometimes, the hops have an hairspray bitterness to it which is annoying, but in my opinion - this is Jaxon’s best beer. tomciccateri (447), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Feb 16, 2006 On draught at the brewpub. Listed as 6%. Big hoppy aroma and flavor. Medium-bodied dark amber trying to make an impression. whaleman (2168), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 29, 2005 Clear golden-copper body with a clean, white head. Has a catty hop quality aroma with some cheesy notes. Surprisingly malty nose with worty properties. Some noticeable hop resin in the finish and on the palate, but otherwise fairly clean and relatively balanced by some decent malt character and light residual sweetness. A fair, enjoyable brewpub IPA. Jeppe (2635), Ølbutikken, Denmark Aug 29, 2004 Draught at Jaxons Restaurant & Brewing Co., El Paso, Texas. Fine white head, hazy dark orange body. Hoppy and flowery flavor, typical IPA. Little mild. Lots of bitter hops in the flavor with nutty tones. Dry and very well balanced. Extremely tasty!
