Bockyhorsey (1961), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 29, 2008 Sample @ Jaxons airway location. Mild sweet aroma. Light brown body with off white head. Thin body texture and had a sweet candy flavor. Easy on the palate wish beer would of had more body texture to it.
pinkzambia (881), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 20, 2007 Tap @ brewpub: Clear brown ale with an earthy aroma and a little sweetness. There is also an interesting bitter bit to it amidst the sweetness. A little too much. GlenVargas (113), El Paso, Texas, USA Aug 6, 2007 The Chihuahua Brown pours a nice, deep brown with a small cream-to-tan head. It’s not terribly hoppy, but has a solid malty, chocolate, nutty flavor with a little spice. A little of the roasted taste hangs around until the next sip. This probably is Jaxon’s best brew. (I’m kind of pissed that I submitted the exact same rating as the rater below, but oh well...) tomciccateri (447), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Feb 16, 2006 On draught at the brewpub. Listed as 4.5%. Pours a dark amber with an even dry/seet malty flavor. Light-bodied, with nice subtle hops and a dry finish. whaleman (2168), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 29, 2005 Rusty brown body with a silky off-white head. Has an interesting smoky quality with lots of sweet toffee, candy, and fruit notes. Medium sweet. Earthy hop character complements the flavor well. Very clean for a brown ale. This is an exceptional brewpub brown ale.
