DSG (867), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 9, 2008 (6/24/08) Bottle at Pivovarsky Klub in Prague. As "Ježek Special Svetly". Clear golden color with a big, slowly-diminishing, white head. Aroma of grainy malt and light hop hints. Sweetish flavor with malt and some light hoppy bitterness later. Light to medium body. Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Jul 7, 2008 Bottle from a random night club in Plzen, this was 4 months out of date. Malty sweet lager, small caramel note, some grassy herbal character. dEM1972 (51), , Illinois, USA Jul 5, 2008 Probably not doing it enough justice; fluffy head which didn’t last too long, clearly hoppy, some fruitiness in there; slightly darker amber, very faint wisps of gas rising; bitter, quite gassy, generous roasting, plenty of hops, full flavour. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Jul 3, 2008 Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma is malts, hops and some earth along with some sugary sweetness. Flavour is yeast, malts, hops, mild notes of alcoholic sweetness. Refreshing brew. Quack-Duck (1905), Bodensee, Germany Jun 1, 2008 bottle from Pivní Galerie. Clear golden yellow, medium-size head. Bitter-sweet aroma. Lovely creamy palate, full-bodied, bitter-sweet. Very malty and intensively hoppy. Brewed just with water, malt and hops, no additional sugar, which is slightly unuaual for a Czech 14° beer. Hints of honey, mixed with resiny and herbal hops. A very well-balabced and lovely beer.
