bhensonb (2880), Woodland, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 750 ml bottle, corked and caged, from John’s Marketplace in Portland, OR. Label seems to indicate production in 2006. Excellent light mahogany color with a decent off-white head. Medium+ body with creamy carbonation. Aroma is sweetly bready with a touch of orange. Flavor is mild caramel with citrus zest in a mild way. It’s all very smooth. The finish is slightly sweet, but there is some bitter (could be orange zest). As time goes on, I imagine floral notes - could be orange florality. It’s a very nice ale. JB175 (1327), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2008 Golden amber color with a medium head.
