weaselkenievil (369), Cheshire, England Sep 22, 2008 Cockermouth he he he. Can’t remember much about this as I was very very drunk but remember thinking thank god I don’t have to have Carling. It was ok, could have been worse but wasn’t great. Gold with a thick white head. Drinkable enough but nothing to get jimmy out over. wheresthepath (246), Buckinghamshire, England Aug 31, 2008 [Cask at Burnt Oak, Milton Keynes] A pale orangey brown bitter with a slight white head. Decent enough earthy hops, some malt, a moderate bitterness. Overall enjoyable enough, easy to drink, but an average, and fairly forgettable bitter. downender (1602), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jun 20, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Mad Bishop and Bear, Paddington Station 20/6/08. Deep gold in colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of caramel and grassy hops. Flavour started sweet before a touch of spice and a decent bitter finish. Good. jhliesen (358), West Melbourne, Florida, USA Jun 18, 2008 Red Lion Pub in Wendover -- Wonderful, a Friday night, a crowded pub, my last night in England, finally feeling good after a horrible cold, the kids are at home--nice. Oh yea, the beer was pretty good too. I didn’t take notes at the time, but the beer was yeasty with some citrus feel. Good pub brew and good times. thewolf (3954), Kolding, Denmark Apr 24, 2008 Cask @ some Soho pub, London.
Pours light coppery amber with a small, white film head. Aroma is pretty hoppy, grassy, mild caramel and a lot of cookie-dough. Fine mouthfeel. Flavour is rounded, nice bitterness, subdued pine and grass with a little caramel.
