Cask conditioned & on handpump at The Alex, on 15/02/05. Deep rich brown colour. Rich, malty, roasted malts. Very moreish - I really enjoyed this one & it didn’t last long before it was all gone either :)

Handpump, Hand and Flower, Kensington. Brown/reddish ale with small head. Full malt, but dominated by the hops - lemongrass, resin, which linger for a long time. Very refreshing, a great beer.

Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Burgundy colour. Deep fruity aroma. Malty and lightly salty. Fairly soft and decidedly less bold than most other Jenning's beers. Notes of black berries. Bitter finish.

Cask, Gardeners Arms, (Plantation Street), Oxford. Shiny dark copper, dense-as-can-be cap of tan foam, lingering and lacing tenatiously. A picture perfect pint. Soft farmy hops, a bit of clean malt. Pleasant aroma, though a little bit low volume. Silky soft palate. Farmy, resiny hops, coppery malt. A lovely winter seasonal. A wholesome, honest beer.

Cask handpump at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. Ruby colour with lasting dark beige head. Soft in mouth, goodish malts, some choc. Reasonable condition, bit of dryness on end, from malt and hop. Nice dark fruit, dark plums and choc on aroma. Blackberry fruit too. Drinkable.
