Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Spring.
In the style of a light mild, this golden amber coloured ale has a subtle complexity. Made with Maris Otter barley and a blend of coloured malts and sugar, this beer offers a fullness and depth of character which will surprise you.
“Tomfoolery” derives from the antics of Thomas Skelton, Fool of Muncaster Castle in the Lake District. This mischievous jester was infamous for his pranks, and some believe his ghost still haunts Muncaster Castle today.

Dark amber colour, good creamy head. Very malty in the nose with a hell of a lot of pigs bottom. Spicy fruit and wet cheesy cardboard but not in a bad way. Caramel and oats add on in flavour, well balanced lovely beer.

Cask @ "The Wharf", Aalborg. Copper colour with white head. Some spicy bitter hops and leather in the aroma. Taste of malt, maltyness and bitter in a nice balance with some heather honey hiding in the back. Malty finish

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A hazy amber beer with a fine light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit as well as light notes of toffee/caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of citrus and caramel, leading to a lightly bitter end.

Gillette head. A chew of currant. A gnaw of pencil. Faintly honeyish. Subtly tasty but very watery. Had no idea I was drinking a Mild.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. Amber with a small white head. Fruity aroma with a pleasant malty spiciness. Not bad, but I didn’t discern the promised ’depth of character’.
