Jan 3, 2005 A nice malty-grainy aroma, with an amber cast. Decent label. Flavor has good character - some floral/perfume-y elements, a bit of astringency, toasty malt. Moderately sweet, moderately hopped. Borders on the bock-y sometimes. Medium to medium-heavy mouth with a lingering fruit and perfume aftertaste. Dries out and goes a little crackery in the finish. Good malts.

Nov 26, 2004 good tasting ale. A lot of flavor and full bodied. Tangy aftertaste with a little tate of cinnamon.

Nov 8, 2004 Light golden, short head and lacing. Sweet caramel bready malts were the predominant flavor - light hop bitterness in the finish. Body was grainy - like granulated sugar - this added to the seemingly overly sweet tastes.

Aug 15, 2004 Pretty good ale. Aroma was like rotten apples, and it seemed to lave large bubbles in the glass when poured, which made me wonder if I’d made a bad choice. But the flavor & finish was OK. Not best of breed, but a decent beer.

Jul 29, 2004 Pours amber/orange, with a caramel aroma. Taste is caramel and hops. The body is thin. Better than the BMC’s, but not realy good either.

Jul 28, 2004 Poured a medium hazy orange/amber color with a large off white head. Mixed malty (caramel) and hoppy aroma and tastes. For some reason I wasn’t expecting much from this (it is from Jesey) but was somewhat surprised. Not a bad beer and quite drinkable.

Jun 26, 2004 Small offwhite head, short lived, no lace to speak of. Beautiful clear amber color. Malty, slightly metallic nose, hints of toffee. Medium body. Caramel malt flavors, some butterscotch with a hint of hops. Finish is fairly dry. Thanks to my wife for grabbin this up when she was in Joisey. Brewed by River Horse.
