On tap. The colour is almost black with a tan head. The aroma is soft and roasted. Flavour is a bit sweet with roasted notes. Medium bitterness.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a huge, dense and tan head. Sweetish brewmash like aroma. Flavour holds mild roasted malt notes, minor chocolate smoothness, medium sweetness, light acidity and a solid bitterness into the finish. Finish shows a mix of acidity from the roasted notes and bitterness. Quite nice and easy beer.

belongs to my name... dark brown colour, solid head. sweet smell with some bread. mid brings typical bitterness with spicy taste. later sweet malty aroma which dominates the finish. one of the few dark ones that doen´s make sticky lips.

Dark brown in colour. Big roasted malt aroma. Texture is quite thin but flavour is full and bitter. Very nice overall and would make a great session beer.

Bottle: Brownish coloured with a small off-white head, dark malt, burnt malt and a bit of coffee in the nose; dryish, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, a bit sticky, light bodied; bitter malty finish with a touch of burnt malt and coffee. Not really good...................

Bottle from the now closed Pitfield beer shop. Mahogany with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of preserved fruit with a hint of roasted notes. Flavour was sweet with a metallic finish. My least favourite Schwarzbier.

A very bad idea. The bottle is nice, but the head disappears fast, and it tastes slightly like water ran through a camp fire. I prefer the Jever Lime before this one...

Bottle. Quite malty aroma, a little bit sweet. The colour of the body is nearly black with a little bit of red. The taste is bitter, at least it is more bitter than the taste of most of the other Schwarzbiere if tasted so far (it’s a Jever, so that’s not to much of a surprise). The duration is long, bitter and nice. A good one like the normal pilsener.
