Bottle (33 cl), thanks gnoff for this rare beer at the brink of extinction. Dark reddish brown, small beige head. Grainy and sugary with some roasted notes. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Initially sweet, dry finish. These sugary scharzbiers are not my thing.

Bottled. Murky brown colour with ambery notes, mediumsized off-white creamy/foamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is mildly burnt malts along with some herbal and grassy notes. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some slight liquorice and wood in it. Finish is semidry.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts hoppy and dry, not very malty. The finish is still very dry, also a bit metallically. Not my favourite.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.
Clear medium red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white cola head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, malt, light hoppy, lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081226]
