Had some time to kill waiting for the ferry to take us to Denmark for the Copenhagen beerfestival, so we brought someting to taste. Got there a little late, and they started embarking a little early, so I tasted and wrote my notes partially when I was driving aboard the ferry. Good thing it was a low ABV beer. Wasn’t much of a drink either. Greenish golden body, clear, with a quickly diminishing white head. The nose was almost completely dominated by lime, but a wee hint of pilsner could be sensed in the background. The flavor was quite limey as well, with some bitterness, and once again, a little note of pilsner in the background. It had a watery, lightly sparkling mouthfeel, and finished with bitterness and lime. It you haven’t had it, you don’t want it. (070510) Maria (6326), Thisted, Denmark

The flavour has a harsh bitterness. 2076 FrankJohansen (3399), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Brief subsiding skunk from the clear bottle. Ecto Cooler green, unstable little head. Citrusy and artificial. Yuck. I will give it this, J-Lime has a much sharper bitterness than most Radler, owing probably to its base beer. Who thought Jever and Lime would mix well? I’m surprised the mixing of two so fundamentally opposed ingredients didn’t tear a whole in the universe. MiP (9160), Sønderborg, Denmark

Somewhat sharper bitterness than in a normal Radler/Alsterwasser - probably from the bitter citrus-lime. Odd yellow-green colour. Absolutely no head. Quite fresh. 200305 Ungstrup (15430), Frederiksberg, Denmark
