33cl bottle from Ealing BF 2007. Gold with thick lasting off white head. Clean smelling lager, some lovely creamy hop. A rather good bock actually with lots of hops. Bit like an extreme pilsner. Hops are greenish. Wished I’d bought more than 1 bottle.

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Honeyish malty aroma with a strong herbal hoppy note, also slightly grassy. Bittersweet flavour, only a short and dry maltiness upfront, medium body, medium to low carbonation; uncommonly strong bitter finish, even for a Maibock, with a nice herbal hoppiness. Not particularly round and complex, but very tasty and deceptive.

the bock of the brewery they named after me... golden colour, head is medium in size and solidity. sweet and hopsy smell. starts intense spicy and malty with hops. mid is bitter hops, the finish is jever-like - bitter and spicy with some malts in the background. not a typical bock but THE bock for people who love north-german-style beers.

Bottle. Has the nice dry bitterness in the finish of the regualr pils, but with some more lightly sweet malt notes to it. Nice grassy finish. A very nice pale bock.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow. Head is white and disappears quickly. Aroma is sweet, malty and floral. Quite full mouthfeel. Vinious, sweet and well-rounded.

Bottle from MoritzF
It has the Jever hop aroma allright, under that there is a far more fat malt smell than in the regular pilsner. Amber, fine pearling carbonation, low head. Chewy malt body, alcohol detectable, offset by dry bittering hops. Ramps down pretty quickly, bitter finish with a bit less staying power than with the pils.
