Mar 26, 2008 Great crisp pilsener. In order to enjoy this beer you must like some hop flavor, and it packs a bit of a bite for the way it looks. Great summer beer!

Mar 21, 2008 (Bottle) I’ve heard a lot of bad things about this beer, but I was positively surprised when I finally tried it. This is not the most bitter of German Pilseners, but it was a good beer. I actually found it more malty than hoppy, and not that dry, which puzzles me because it conflicts with what I was expecting. The malt was rich and fairly complex. The hops were weak and not particularly bitter, but not unpleasant. There was no metallic taste, which distinguishes this beer from most of the German imports. I would have appreciated far more hoppiness, but overall, this was a pretty good beer. It still pales in comparison to some of the Czech imports, however.

Mar 15, 2008 Simply no great shakes; maybe it just doesn’t travel well, but after a small shot of a Victory Prima and a Pilsner Urquel, this just doesn’t measure up. Pale straw color. Color accurately announces a beer that is thin in the mouth and lacking in malt. Yeah, it’s hopped, but this is just not a great pils.

Feb 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a pale yellow colour with a white head. Crisp, but thin, on the nose. The flavour is bitter hops, bitter hops and bitter hops. The finish is bitter hops. Not bad, maybe a bit one-sided, but not bad.

Feb 15, 2008 A nice pilsener. Aroma was light malt, hops and a bit of skunk but not enough to ruin it. Pour was a nice clear light gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was a little flat, but nice pilsener taste. LIght malt, a bit of grass and a hoppy bite in the finish. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Not bad.

Feb 14, 2008 Pale yellow pour with lingering thick frothy head. Aroma heavy with malt and very little hops. Taste is very light with a prdominately bready taste and a lingering metallic bitter finish.

Feb 14, 2008 my favorite german one. so northern german, just wonderful. it doesnt get more hoppy then this while still being delicious.
