Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

From the bottle, pours with a bubbly, medium lived head and an appetizing golden straw color, with lots of liveliness in the body. Aroma of German Hallertau and Saaz hops, grassy, fresh and earthy. Taste is distinctly dry, earthy and herbal, with a nice hop bitterness and smooth carbonated palate. Overall, all the things I’ve read about this being the driest German beer of all are true. This one is so dry that I really had to take my time and rehydrate between each sip.

Poured gold yellow with a medium head. There are light earthy aromas that flow into a dry hop and yeast flavor that is bolstered by a nice crisp body. The finish has some length.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget. Pours golden yellow with a small white head that dies quickly, and nice streams of carbonation until the last sip. Citrus and grass aroma is slightly earthy. Flavor is dry and hoppy with a satisfying bitter finish that is somewhat subtle and refreshing, although a little thin. Body is thin and crisp with fizzy carbonation. Not the best pils that I’ve had, but not the worst, probably won’t buy it again though, just nothing to go out of your way for.

Bottle - 330ml. Pours a golden body with average carbonation and a nice white foamy head. Crisp hoppy aroma with herbal notes. Taste is very herbal and refreshing. Ends with a sharp hoppy finish. Very enjoyable German Pils.

0.33 l bottle. Golden color. Malty, sweetish and hoppy aroma, refreshing herbal and peppery hops. Malty and slightly sweet flavor with firm bitterness and whiff of lemon. Fruity-bitter finish. Fairly carbonated.

well - a brewery named after me... no question i have to try the beer. and it seems to me that test # 100 is a good opportunity. of course, i will top the average tasting-result. but that´s normal for the favourite beer. mid-pilsy colour. large and solid head. smell of hops, dominant, a grassy way (hops and hemp are related closely). starts with a bitter hopsy taste. mid brings some hops. the end is hopsy. ok, sometimes some malt seems to be there, too. but this is straight stuff. north-german style. maybe not everybody´s darling - but mine.

500ml bottle. Pale gold, thick white lasting head. It’s a very crips pils, good herby hop on end, bit metallic, heavy carbonation. Very pleasant and drinkable. Nothing amazing, but clean, competent and hoppy.

Light golden with a nice head and a hoppy aroma. The flavour is slightly dry, hoppy and it has a nice bitterness developing from light to just right. It’s has a tiny hint of metal, but otherwise a very quenching pilsner.
