Patchy lacing. Aroma of mild hops and hay. Light-bodied and effervescent with a dry mouthfeel. Lightly bitter hops and sour fruit flavors are pretty much the only flavors. The finish is dry and hoppy with some sweetness coming through. Not as easy to drink as most Pilseners. Fairly average all around. zach8270 (2103), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is very floral and hoppy with some cookie dough and grass. Flavor has a slight sweetness at the beginning with a very dry, bitter, and hoppy middle and a very bitter and lingering aftertaste. Not quite what I expected in the finish. Very nice, until it warmed up. Drink it cold. HermanW (630), Coevorden, Netherlands

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 23, 2006 Clear golden colour, medium persistance head. The nose is more malty than expected, but the herbal hop aroma is well present. Very bitter, grassy, and dry, with average carbonation and bitter long aftertaste. Surprising beer, thirst quenching, satisfacting and enjoyable. It worths a tasting. Stew41 (1052), Caulfield, Australia
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 21, 2006 Clear gold on pouring with a thin creamy head. Ok for a macro. Not much happening on the nose, perhaps faint traits of earthy malts. Palate surprises. No malts jump out, at least to my taste, but there’s quite a pronounced herbal hop, almost fern like flavour dominating the palate. Not sure I ‘get this’, or indeed approve. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2006 I purchased this beer on the advince of a German man with a Texas accent. Didn’t have a fridge, so he told me that Jever still tastes good warm. I am giving definate props to the beer for pulling off such an amazing feat. Certainly it would have tasted smoother and more refreshing if it was cold, but the beer was still smooth and flavourful without the refridgeration. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway
