Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

There is some misterious thing about this beer. It is overrated from my point of view, or I just ha dit too above form the cold level. It was incredible hard to swallo, but only i you compare it with the grades. It had good foam, good colour, but there was something bad.

Bubbly golden pour with a small head. Aromas are heavy of fermenting apples and pilsner-like hops. Flavors are crisp and well blended, but unspectacular. The fermented apple from the aroma comes through fairly heavily, as does a hop presence that is reminsicent of Becks.

Clear pale golden with a small white head. Big spicy saaz aroma, with some toasty Munich malt too. A great big bitterness hit first in the mouthful, followed by some pleasant biscuity light malts and herby hop flavours. The finish is dry, bitter and refreshing. A great pilsener!

50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Golden clear colour with a nice white head. Light sweet maltness with a very noteable touch of hops. Very bitter and clean flavour, both notes of malt and hops. A very classic north German pilsener.

Clear light yellow and thin bubbly white head. Scent of grain, some yeast. Funky taste, whoof. Pure funk. Someone stop me, I’m rating this lower than Bud Select. Guess I’m just not a pilsener girl.

Bottle on 08/13/2008. Clear golden body with a small white head. Grassy and pilsener malt aroma. Slightly bready flavor with some light grass. Medium light body with a moderately high carbonation. 5/2/6/3/11 - 2.7 08/06/2006: Pale golden color with a thin white head. Sweet light malt aroma. Malty favor with light hops. 5/2/5/3/10 - 2.5

Bottle, BSF, GBBF 06. Grabbed one of these just randomly so I could get back to work! Fizzy, thin, bitterness. Suds. Light on the palate.

Tap, Kartoffelnkeller, Lubeck. Yellow, fizzy. Thin palate and body, somewhat nasty bitterness (and I usually love hops). This beer is sadly overrated, I probably won’t bother with this ever again. Never ever Jever...
