| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 13, 2006 A friend of mine had his brother-in-law bring this over from Germany, and it was a nice pilsner that I hadn’t previosuly heard of. The packaging looked cheap, but the beer was pretty good.
Very pale yellow with tightly packed bubbles in a fairly weak head with little lacing. Smell was somehow "import smelling" without the skunky methyl-butyl-thiol smell that we usually associate with the green-bottle-beers. Taste good - an above average pilsner.
I liked it - and if it were more widely available here, I would gladly take it over some of the more common German lagers like Beck’s, Krombacher, Warsteiner, Bitburger. gnoff (3573), Göteborg, Sweden
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Sample at a beer tasting event at "Pannrummet" in Gothenburg, Sweden. Light yellow color. Malty scent. High bitterness, malty a bit hoppy taste. A German classic by all means. The low score is only because of my recent lack of appreciating light lagers, this is well made and a classic, but just not right for me.
