Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Bottle. Eh, okay. Bitter. Okay, but the bitterness is strong. Hoppy. Slightly smooth, but not a very smooth finish.

500 ml can. Clear golden with an average white head. Metallic hoppy aromas. Medium bodied. Quite bitter. Slightly harsh bitterness as there is not really enough body to stand up against most of the hop punch. Aftertaste is dry from hop bitterness. Nice and refreshing, but slightly challenging as it is a bit mouth puckering.

Decent pils...not great, not bad either. Solid beer. Good aroma, head retention and mouthfeel. Would have again. Not exactly a Pilsner Urquell, though.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a great white head. Aroma of herbal, grassy hops with a lot of fresh hay. The mouthfeel is dry, very dry actually, and sharp, with a flavor of bitter, grassy hops, some sweet notes and a crisp malt. The finish is even more bitter and lasts near forever. One of the best Northern Pilseners, though not everybody’s piece of cake because of the strong bitterness. I for one like it very much.
