Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Bottle: Rather pale golden coloured, thin white lasting head; grassy hoppiness, wet cardboard too, in the aroma; light body, stronger hoppy flavour leading to a distinctive bitter, but not so aromatic finish. Better than the average, O.K., but not the great stuff that it was many years ago..........

very nice pisener, one of the best, no words about skunky (on tap is normal to have a hop smell on good german beers), very nice hops and bitterness 100% super smell,......I tink it is the best pilsener.

An intense bitterness due to a generous use of hops. I have never tasted a pils as dry as this. Outstanding,

Bottled. Aroma is light but pleasantly malty. Colour is pale pilsner-yellow, with an o.k. creamy head. The carbonisation is light. Taste is very soft and crisp. The hop-bitterness in the end is lifts the beer (and is long lasting), but apart from that, there is really nothing more to the Jever.

Tall column of brilliantly clear golden beer that forms a thick long lasting white head of fine foam. Spicy hop aroma over a light yet firm malt foundation. It comes over the tongue as bitter at first, then some sweetness in the middle with a bit of dryness in the finish. Good crisp, hoppy, refresher. Thanks to Whaleman for sending this!

Bottle. Golden colour, stable white head. The aroma is hoppy for a pils. A little malty flavour, quite clean. Good, long bitterness. Late flowery aroma hop aftertaste.

Yellow gold with small white head. Smell of hops, yeast, citrus. Bitter taste with medium fruit. Not my favorite style, but a decent specimen nonetheless.

Bottled. Clear yellow colour, small white bubbly head. Dry hay and vegetables in the semi-bitter aroma. Hoppy flavour with grassy and malty hints. Wellbalanced. Not too bad and pleasant palate.
