Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

A couple of sips of my friends bottle. A nice little blond number with a nice white head, collapsing quickly. Fresh malt but with the green bottle devil...skunk. Fresh malt and nice sharp german hops in mouth, with a nice crisp body, and a nice bitter finish. A good pils.

This beer has a light yellow body - hue apperance and a coarse whitescum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is bitter with a light bitter afther tast.

Unusually crisp and dry, the taste equivalent of the appearance of birch bark. Bitter, simple and stark. Aroma is nice but seems to have a hit of corn. Good.

Pours deep yellow with a big white head. Not much of an aroma. Taste is crisp, dry, nice hops. Well made pils.

Off yellow color with a fizzy, loud, head. Slight sourdough aroma with some spicy hops. Bready flavors and grassy hops balance out well. Finishes very crisp and clean. Good here in the bottle, probably great in Germany on draft.

Pale yellow, big fluffy white head, some lacing. Aroma is bready, lightly sweet, grassy. I really like the taste of this - plenty of peppery hops, some grassiness, thinner malty body. Ends crisp and then followed by a sweet dusty finish. More than it’s fair share of flavor for a lighter brew.

Very light staw with a slight head but fades quickly. Aroma is grassy and herbal. Flavor is watery somewhat earthy hops, and a light malt backbone. Has a harsh bitterness- almost astringent. Pretty much what I expected from a bottled german pilsner.

Don’t let yourself get fooled by the looks. This is a very good pilsener. Manages to stay away from the skunky hop aroma most German lagers have. Firmly hopped and pretty bitter which makes it stand out from the masses.
