Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

(bottle) Pale gold with small head. Not much aroma. Flavor is not as crisp as I’d like in a Pilsner, a bit must (perhaps it didn’t keep well in the green bottle).

Bottled, filtered. Yellow gold with white bubbly head. Smooth but lemony pilsner with a full hoppy flavour, a treat compared to many of my previous visits to this style. Finishes off with a fresh bitterness. Good beer.

A delighful German pils! Pours a pale yellow color with a rocky white head right out of a magazine ad. It’s got a grassy sweet aroma with a subtle hint of the malts. This is very soft in the mouth and has sweet grasses and malts for a flavor. The best part is the surprizingly aggressive hop bite right at the end. This delivers a clean, crisp finish. It’s definitely an all-night-long kind of a beer.

Definitely a better beer than it’s current rating implies. Would have been even better if it had a little more carbonation going on...Nice session type pils.

Bottled. A pleasant light golden coloured lager which starts with a nice white head. The aroma is very grassy almost like a Euro lager rather than a CGP. The taste is also too lagerish with an alcohol snatch and grassy malty notes. A bit sulphuric in the taste also. Not what I expected - a real disappointment. Sorry if you’re reading this Dan.

Pale golden colour with medium size frothy white head. Hoppy grassy aroma with hints of flower. Flavor is hoppy with a long dry bitter finish.

I think this is pretty good. In my opinion it should be rated a little higher. Pours a golden color with a creamy head. It is not as sparkly as other Pilsners I have had. The aroma is pretty bland with some nice malts. The taste is bitter with a nice mouthfeel. Pretty good, but not great.
