Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Adequate beer with a mild taste. Good with freid foods & seafoods. Seems less inclined to lead to abloated feeling & that’s a good thing!

Light yellow color with big white head. Hoppy and grassy aroma. Medium body, very dry ending with strong hops, nice one. Malty start fits here well, I like this pilsner. Good balance, not too full bodied but still ending is hopped and dry and carbonation in start is convenient. Slight skunky tone in aroma drops rating a little bit.

So I have to admit that I’m not too sure of this style of beer - I just haven’t had too many to compare it to. It has somewhat "skunky" aroma, but it is not offensive. Nice, crystal clear, yellow body with a lush white, frothy head. The body is very smooth, and it is a refreshing beer without anything particulary unique about it. I see it sometimes described as "herb-like" and I agree with that.

Clear golden color, with medium white head - grassy aroma, with moderate hop presence - fuller mouthfeel than expected for the style, yet still light and refreshing - just the right amount of light malts to balance out the crispy hops and slight herbal qualities of the beer - extra-dry, peppery finish - tasty and quenching.

Best before 6-29-05(which leads me to believe it was bottled on 6-29-04)Pulled from the enclosed case(not the green crates they used to come in)so this was not skunky at all.Aroma of a german pils(bready malts, tease of corn, some grassy earthy hops)The taste is pretty nice, some hallertau and some malts, very nice smooth clean, crispy mouth.Best german pils I’ve had, but I still think we brew em’ better in the states.Hop extracts just don't impress my tastebuds,go figure?

Very pale clear gold-yellow. Low apparent carbonation, light white head. Light bready malt on the nose, mostly herbal hops, not particularly fresh I suspect. Highly herbal and grassy, less grainy. Extreme dryness, very bitter, distinguishable. Those green bottles are a shame. Get real, you can’t claim your beer to be world-class tasty and furnish conditioning suited for cheap coolers.

Everything about this beer is soft. It pours a soft gold, with a large pillowy head that fades. Aroma is of mild spicy/grassy hops and some sulpher. Flavor is soft spicey/grassy hops with a mellow clean maltiness. The palate is very clean and soft. Very nice traditional pils.
