Commercial Description:
Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.

Blond color; nice lace. Some hop aroma, quite nice. The taste has a grain character, not enough malt. Long and strong bitterness but not as much aromatic as the aroma suggested.

Bottled. Served slightly chilled in a Jever glass. Wow, this is a good pilsner. Slight malt, slight hops, sweetness with a really bitter finish.

A yellow beer with a fine dense head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of honey, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and a very bitter end. Quite nice for a pilsener.

Light gold with a big head. Nose is hoppy and sharp, mildly citric. Bit of hops in the flavor, sweet and a bit malty.

I thought this brew was going to be mega-hoppy and bitter. While it is hoppy, it doesn't overtake the beer and is actually pretty well balanced. More like a Czech pilsener. Some citric flavors are there to a light extent, but the hops impart more earthy/grassy and impart some bitter root/herb like flavors. Interesting brew.

Piss yellow color with nice sized white head. Smells like a bag of Pilsbury flour. Taste has a raw barley thing going on like someone forgot to add the hops to this batch. Very tasty though.

Yellow to golden lager look-a-like, good looking. Kind of weird malt and herbal aroma. Flavor is absolutely magnificent for a pilsener, vague malt presence with a good ol' kick of fresh hops! Very nice pilsener... May be my favorite...

33 cl bottle, served in generic tulip beer glass. Golden colour; OK head. Aggressively and refreshingly hoppy and herbal aroma. The same goes for the taste, which is wonderfully bitter and crisp w/ a long, firm finish. Highly drinkable. One of my favorite pilsners, this beer is a revelation to the drinker who's grown accustomed to bland, anonymous lagers. Highly recommended.
