The flavor is very compact, but also very strong, and the grassy nose almost completely matches up with the taste. Yet, what sets Jever apart from the other Germans I’ve tried is the dryness. From the first sip, you really have to admire the finish of this beer. I would drink this again. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Bottle. Clear yellow with medium, creamy white head. Aroma is grainy with some spicey, herbal hops. Flavor is herbal with grainess and some grassiness, very strong, not clean at all. Medium and creamy body. A little dirty and bittter, but unique, I’ll give them that. jeff789 (422), Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 24, 2009 Tap. Bright yellow, clear. Light nose. Thin white head. Taste is typical pils on the front, but the back has a unique bitterness that lingers. Light palate, a great light beer with the added bitter tastes of wheats and hay. Very enjoyable with a light lunch. PJClarke (710), London, Greater London, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 15, 2009 A good clean german look about this one. A mix of light cereals and airy german hops on the nose. Lovely bitterness in this with hay flavours and smooth oddly heavy grass notes. Smooth and refreshing. Really quaffable this one, has a great refreshing virtue. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2009 Pours a very pale clear gold color with no head. Aroma is funky BO, feet, and barnyard hay. Taste is dry and hoppy, with more notes of earthy grass, and hay. Perhaps a bit more hoppy than most pilsners but nothing extreme. Pretty good. Nordcore (294), North of, Norway
