| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 7, 2008 Poured from the bottle a reddish golden with thin white head that lasted for much of the glass and left good lacing. Nose is grainy, similar to a macro, and the mouthfeel of this medium bodied beer is somewhat tingly. Flavor is an odd mix of grain, chocolate and tobacco, all of which led to a short dry finish g2bfry (49), San Diego, California, USA

Spicy, earthy,l hop aroma and some straw malt. Starts with a light body in the mouth, light malt leads into a herbal, tobacco, hop with a dry finish and lingering of both malt and salty hop flavors. I like the time span and fluctuation of flavors. Bart (1642), Brussels, Belgium

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2008 For some reason in the last few months (or from what I’ve noticed), this beer has exploded in New York -- and with good reason.
Jever pours to a light golden color with a 1.5 finger head (in a pilsner glass). Smells grassy and lightly hoppy as a German Pilsener should. On the palate, it’s light without being waify, and contains hints of citrus.
This food goes fantastically with food and I especially enjoyed my last experience when it was paired with semi-spicy Thai food.
