MaltDawg (293), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 28, 2008 Updated: Aug 15, 2008 12 oz bottle. clear pale golden with frothy white head. Grainy pale malt aroma with spicey hop notes and a touch of green bottle syndrome. Pale sweet malt flavor is quickly attacked by some spicey hop flavor and bitternes. Body is light and well carbonated. Finish is dry with good residual spicey hop flavor and bitterness.
Archibaldo de la Cruz (96), Finland Sep 5, 2008 Bottle. Yellow colour with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavour is malty, hoppy, spicy and quite bitter. Dry and bitter finish. Very good pilsener. Mogwai (176), Askeby, Denmark Aug 22, 2008 Bottle. Aroma is bitter hops, citrus. Flavor is actually very hoppy for a pilsner. Definitly the best German Pilsner I’ve had. Basically because there is actually something going on here. Still with a low rating, as I don’t like this type of beer hophead_hans (573), Bay Area, California, USA Aug 22, 2008 Tap. Still one of the most extreme Pilsener beers I know of. It is very spicy, harshly bitter, fairly aromatic and harsh hops. Key is to have it fresh. Sammy (3073), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 On tap. Good lacing. Neutral aroma and appearance. Nothing to write home about. Tad of hops, lawnmower. DSG (849), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 8, 2008 (6/19/08) Draught at Sophie’n Eck in Berlin. Clear golden color with a medium stable white head. Aroma of grassy hops. A rather hoppy and bitter flavor with nice hops grassiness and lighter malty tones. Medium-bodied. A nice Pils.
