Taste is a personal thing and Jockey Club is one of my favourite beer. I really like this beer. It’s one I can drink all night.

From bottle in a pub on Gerge St, St Johns. Attracted to this beer by the name and the label. The aroma reminds me of a lager. Clear, light yellow with a very thin head. Sweet and a little scenty in flavour, however got a bit watery. I actually thought this beer was drinkable, well maybe only one. Pleasnt beer I thought.

Crystal clear typical lager gold, with a thin cap that disappeared before I could right this sentence down. Slight chemical sent mixed in with a ton of cheap malts and just a touch of apple for good measure, not a good smell but could be way worse. A dusty stale flavor that’s all malts no hops can be found, very surprisingly there is no bread flavor to found in this cheap ass crap lager from the east coast of Canada. The after taste is a strange flavor that reminds me of grape bubble gum that you’ve chewed for way to long. This stuff is swill but still kind of drinkable, you could find better beer any where, even in a Mexican back ally probally.

Maybe I’m going out on a limb, but I don’t think it’s as bad as everyone else does. The best part: poured a beautiful pearly froth of suds on top of a nice rusty gold water. Then the head vanished to a slight lace. I could see huge amounts of carbonation. This beer looks like the beer conjured up for most everyday folks when the word ’beer’ is spoken aloud. Smells of hops, a light grassy aroma. A crisp mouthfeel. Nothing to write up gloriously. Tastes of a slight sweet malt, some lemon, some hoppy-round-bitter, but with the usual macro adjuncts. The worst: the aftertaste is not complimentary. It’s essentially morning mouth. Very close to most macros, but marginally better because of the awesome appearance. Not as good as Black Horse in the drinkability department.

Now I feel like a member of the club. I prefer this over a lot of the other majors but there’s not a whole lot here. A corny and watery taste accompanied by a corn roast water aroma. Pretty bland and ordinary.

Pale golden colour with a lot more flavour than expected but not necessarily a good thing. Some corny sugary aromas at times. Bit of malty biscuityness as well.

Pale gold colour. White frothy and fizzy head that's mostly diminishing. Virtually no aroma, possibly some grassiness. Light toasty flavour with a faint bitterness in the background, finishing somewhat sweet. Prickly and creamy mouthfeel. Simple and unoffensive.
