acrdz (4129), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2007 Updated: Aug 1, 2007Proper wit appearance, muddy, milky yellow colored body with a thick-stacked, medium-sized-bubble head. Doughy, heavy yeast nose, with a lot more orange peel than coriander, and in fact a lot more orange peel than witbier should have. Body is moderately thick for a wit but carbonation is less than average for the style. Flavor strictly of orange peel and yeast, and the small amount of spice tasted in this beer seems to come from the yeast and not from any added spices. Still, I’m a sucker for witbier so it’s easy for me to like an example that’s less than perfect. Fruity, doughy, soft on the tongue, some lactic sourness mixed with sweet (almost candied) orange peel. Overall it’s decent enough.

The aroma is very lightly wheaty, while the flavor has a weird sweet citrus notes combined with wheat, and light notes of soap. The body is thin.
